Memories of the Earth is about the story of survival of the last settlers of the earth after a new deadly plague in which it spread in the most consumed product on the planet: sugar. The last human survivors fostered the custom of telling each other stories of what the earth was
like before the plague, as a way of motivating themselves to rebuild what the earth was once ago.
